Carolyn's obsession with understanding the scriptures began at 16 years old. After graduating Westminster Seminary, she went into non profit work with teens, pivoted into health and fitness, and after some family trauma, began serving ministries with her creative and organizational gifts in business development, and communications. And has been serving PCC with these gifts since 2018.

This is Carolyn's Public Teaching Ministry. She brings together her backgrounds in Theology, Counseling and Health/Fitness to help people identify & dump their baggage so they can finally succeed in their health goals (mind, body, relationships)

In 2016, Carolyn had a vision that She is finally launching through Philly Council of Clergy. Now, in 2025 we're hosting 8 Ministry Leader Cohorts where leaders in each genre will gather together to get to know each other, discuss best practices, pray for their target audience, and even collaborate to do things together that cannot be accomplished alone.
This ministry is exponential in nature. Here, we care for leaders so they can better care for their flocks.
MINISTRY LEADER COHORTS
In 1999, UPENN conducted a church census concluding that Philly churches provide nearly 100 millions of dollars of free services annually. In 2025, no one knows how many churches are still functioning, nor what services they provide.
Carolyn is spearheading an effort to create a comprehensive directory of Churches and Ministries across the city, and a robust website where anyone can find any service they need - through Churches, where they will also learn of Jesus!

Carolyn's heart beats for sanctification. Her deepest joy is seeing people grow in their relationship with Jesus, in a way that transforms them from the inside out.
After receiving a BAS in Secondary Education to teach English, at Villanova University, she went on to Westminster Seminary, earning her Masters Degree in a dual major of Theology and Christian Counseling. Though she believes women can be ordained, she has chosen to remain a minister and teacher, but has not felt the call to become ordained.
After a decade of mentoring teens, another decade in health and fitness, she raised 3 children while caring for a sick husband. "The struggle is REAL!" In 2016 she left 'secular' work to return to ministry, having become "obsessed" with helping Christians to love one another in spite of differences in denomination, politics, race, and socio-economics. She was a co-founder of the Philadelphia Gospel Movement (PGM), and serves many "network leaders" across Philadelphia who too are working diligently to bring Christians back together instead of letting all those "molehills" remain "mountains" of division.
She has worked in Christian and Secular sectors, and also corporate and non profit. She is now serving PCC as the Director of Communications and Special Projects, alongside of Rev. Dr. Faulkner.
Carolyn has long worked in the shadows, but knows it is time to begin her public teaching ministry.
