Historic Succession Service of Archbishop Mary Floyd Palmer

Updated: Dec 9, 2020

On March 16, 2019, a grand service was held at the historic Bright Hope Baptist Church, where she was officially installed as the Presiding Prelate of the Philadelphia Council of Clergy, Incorporated. (www.PCCGlobal.org).  As such, she made history by becoming the first, female, African American Archbishop (non-denomination) in the City of Philadelphia, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States of America.   PCC Bishops came from as far away as London and Ghana to celebrate their new spiritual leader.  On this day she launched her global 'Reign of Healing'.  True to her calling, within less than 20 hours, Sunday morning she was visiting the prison where several men gave their life to the Lord. She has become confidante and counselor to Pastors, their wives and Episcopal leaders from all around the world.

She currently serves as Overseer at one of PCC's churches, (Heavenly Hall in Philadelphia, PA), Parliamentarian for the National Congress of Black Women, (Philadelphia Chapter), Board Member of the Alliance Charter School and sits on the Pennsylvania Re-entry Council. You can hear her daily as the day-time host of PHILLYSFAVOR.com 100.7, Philly's new, gospel FM radio station.
